Time Trial season is starting…and what about a skinsuit!!!
Hello cyclists fanatic…especially those (and there are a lot of you!!) who loves every week to go and…smash it for 10 or 25 miles.
I have spent lots of time reaserching and choosing the right material and design with my patner company in Italy, and this is what we are proposing.
-Extra streaching lycra and compression system to improve performans <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compression_sportswear
-Special low air resistant material to follow every corner of your body and improve aerodynamics,
-Simple dark and classic colours for those wet days,
-Visible arms for those van drivers who cannot make up what is going soo fast on two wheels,
-Wide band on your thigh for more aereo passage,
-and most of all a very detailed table to measure your body to perfection!
We can also provide (with 10 pieces minimum order required) the same tecnology and basic design your club name and colours.

Price is £ 125 (Long sleeve only)
Delivery is 6weeks from payment received.
Finally are at home…in flesh!
I’ve been saying to every body for the last 2 months my frameset should be any day…since the 15 of December, and the bad weather in England conbined with the bad weather in USA and the Christams holiday had a massive effect on the schedule.
But is finally at home and tomorrow I’ll start building the bike with the help of Duncan Mellish a full time house husband who can help me during day time were other friends of mine had to work.
And these are the phooto:

…and now with Campagnolo Record groupset will be just the baby to ride.
Ciao
This is the first photo of my new frame…fly baby fly (from USA)
On his/her way to England from USA, got my Campagnolo Record ready and my legs are getting ready with my old Rossin.
Six and a half kilos vs ten and a bit…just soo good…cant wait, is Christmas again!!!
CLUB KIT PHOTO SHOOT
Mike Betts a good quality rider and club member is also a very good professional photographer, and is been doing the club kit photoshoot.
I would like to thank him and the two models Sarah (our Club Masseuse) and Sam Parker (our great cyclist promise leaving for Italy on a 3 month trial).
You can see more of Mike’s info on his website:

Zappi Bike…almost there.
I want to get a bike that does the job!
…and a good looking one!
So I’m going to use the best carbon available, the best geometry. a simple colour scheme with some retro’ touches and with the price of a dream come true.
The frame is a light, stiff and well balanced machine. It’s not only stunning to look at but intimidating as well. It’s no wonder when you tally up the list of features this frameset has to offer…
Unidirectional Toray (torayca) high modulus T1000G & intermediate modulus T800 & T700 carbon fiber, to a 3k finish. Built with Veloforma TTPcarbon process – Time, Temp and Pressure in the right order is what yields a design specific racing bicycle.
Tube2Tube process with ISP (integrated seat post). For lighter weight, better power transfer in climbs and sprints.
Over sized tubing brings greater over all stiffness, responsive ride, plus great design style.
Integrated carbon dropouts designed into the rear stays for lighter weight – carbon drop outs are stronger than alloy in MPA ratings.
Tapered Head tube 1 1/8” -1.1/4” designed for greater stiffness and strength. Allowing the bike to track better when descending and cornering at speed.
BB30 Bottom bracket linked to Over sized chain stays creates greater stiffness and power transfer to the pedals.
A medium size frame with uncut seat mass weighs less than a 950grams, the fork is a scant 340grams. Built with Camp Super record or SRAM Red and a pair of racing tubular and you easily approach 14 pounds, 454 grams under the UCI limit.
Almost there…what do you think?
Zappi’s cycling club kit 2011
I think is nice to be on time to deliver kit and considering the Italian holiday, the daily siestas and regular strikes…I have decide to get the new club kit ready to order just a little bit early.
If you are interested to see more details you can click on the image to zoom in…
The jersey will be with full zip and I can organize (to order) very sexy and fast time trial skinsuits.
If you are interested just send me an email to flaviozappi@gmail.com
Ciao
Staging in Italy…with U.C. Bergamasca.
Zappi’s development team menbers Sam Parker and Dexter Gardias are now in Italy for two weeks where they are going to race six times as part of the development programme.
The plan to race in Italy is design to learn to race with the continental style in the most hard region for tradition and terrain so called the valley of the kings, because in the 20 km radius the are aprox 50 pro and ex pro ryder.

U.C. Bergamasca is a leading under 23 team in Italy, locate near Bergamo north Milan just minutes away from the Alps and directed by my long term friend and team mate Antonio Bevilacqua and is wife Rossella (an absolute pillar for the organization of the team).

Direttore sportivo Gianluca Valoti ex pro and a valid key for the day to day running of the squad. The team as participating major international race in Italy and abroad with results at the Paris-roubaix for under 23 and leading Giro d’Italia Bio for several stages with Cesare Benedetti currently staging with pro team Liquigas.
Mark Cavendish will not race for SKY next season

Was on the phone with Valerio Piva (Mark’s DS) few hours ago, talking about a project of mine to develop more road riders from the British Cycling scene onto the International stage and not just for the few chosen by the development programme at BCF…

Mark will stay at Columbia, he said, and High Road will be replaced by a new sponsor called HTC who is a telephone business and the color of the jersey is going to change from yellow to green. Mark’s contract will end after 2010 season and they are going to try to keep him.
